December 2011

Last December our plans to host a community Christmas Carol and
Lantern Parade followed by a small party with a visit from Santa finally came to fruition, having been scuppered by the bad weather in 2010.
The event was thoroughly enjoyed by those who attended and
the children and parents put so much effort into creating their lanterns.

The event began when everyone met at the bottom of Church Hill to
sing carols close to the Parish church – they could be heard down
at the hall ! The crowd then made their way back to the hall for seasonal refreshments – ladies many thanks for your contribution and assistance.

For the young (and not so young) children the highlight of the evening
was a visit from Santa. He took time to chat to them all and gave out
small gifts with a promise of more to come.

We’d love to know if you enjoyed the event as we hope to repeat it next
year. Please do get in touch if you can help next time or if you have any feedback.

Royal Wedding Day

Do you know what ? I bet William and Kate would rather have been at the Killinchy Community Youth Association BBQ which the Hall hosted.

The Youth Association provided and cooked the delicious food; music was provided by our local talent; and the Hall Committee provided the inflatables and the venue. Thank you to the many, many people who attended. It was really great to see the community come together.

If you have any ideas for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee get in touch with us now.

Easter 2011

Many thanks to all of the children and parents who attended our Easter
event, we hope that you had a great time.

In addition to the fun and games with which we began (big thanks to Mandy and her wonderful assistants) there was a bouncy castle, decorated egg competition, prize for the best Easter bonnet and the great Easter Egg Hunt
in the hall grounds.

Please do get in touch if you would like us to run the event in 2012.
